Rules of the Camp
1. Each group's representative must check-in with the Camp Manager upon arrival. The Camp Manager may go with the representative to the assigned camp ground for entry and inspection.
2. Park cars and trailers only in designated camping areas. Drive only on the roads. No off-road driving. Please keep your speed under 10 MPH while in the camp grounds.
3. Motor bikes, motorcycles, three and four wheelers and other off-road vehicles are not to be used within the Camp Timberlane property. The main road through the camp is a county road and these restrictions would not apply.
4. Please be conservative with your water usage. There is generally adequate water for the summer season but do not waste this precious resource. The water is continually tested under State regulations and is designated safe for drinking. You do not need to bring your own water.
5. Build fires ONLY in designated fire rings. Do not build large fires that may get out of control or cause sparks to fly into the dry timber. Do not throw non-burnable trash into the camp fires. There is plenty of firewood available within the boundaries of the Camp so you need not bring any with you. Please DO NOT cut down growing trees or shrubs for firewood.
6. Completely extinguish all fires before retiring for the night or when leaving the camp site. Remove cold ashes from all fire pits with the provided wheel-barrow and deposit into the cement containers in each camp ground.
7. If you move picnic tables be sure and return them so that each camp site has one.
8. Firearms (including B-B guns), rockets or fireworks of any kind are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
9. Please observe quiet time after 10 PM. Remember there may be other groups in adjacent camp grounds.
10. Keep your camp grounds clean. There are no garbage dumps available at the Camp so each group must provide their own garbage bags and haul out all their garbage. DO NOT bury or leave garbage in the fire pits. Bears are generally not a problem but leaving garbage out in the open is a sure way of having a visitor during the night! Make sure the buildings, including the restrooms, are cleaned out and secured when you leave.
11. All camp grounds have flush toilets that are similar to the ones in recreational trailers. Operational instructions are in every toilet. The waste tanks underneath are pumped regularly at a considerable expense so use good judgment in their use. Each group must bring their own toilet paper. The first roll will be provided by the Camp. DO NOT deposit bottles, cans, female hygiene products or other trash into the toilets.
12. Do not scar, deface or cut growing trees or shrubs. Do not erect unsightly or inappropriate structures.
13. The cellular telephone at the cabin is to be used for emergency or approved calls only. Most cell phones work from this location so you may desire to bring your own.
14. If work projects have been assigned by your Stake during your stay be sure and check with the Camp Manager for instructions and supplies prior to starting the project.
15. Do not do anything that may pollute or contaminate our water supply. Do not drain or dump sewage waste from trailers or campers.
16. All groups must depart the camp by 5:00 PM on Saturday as the gates are locked at that time. The Camp is not available for use on Sundays.
17. Since there is no electrical power at the camps, a portable generator is available from the Camp Manager for use during special events and gatherings. You may elect to bring your own generator but in either case you must bring your own fuel as there is none available at the camp.
18. Dogs must be kept on a leash and not allowed to run freely through out the camps. Clean up after the dog is a must.
19. The commercial griddles located in the storage sheds of each camp ground do NOT have propane tanks attached. You must bring your own. The connecting hose is already attached to the griddle. If there are large groups you may want to bring additional stoves to supplement the existing griddle.
20. The 2 pavilions are to be shared between the camps. The one in Douglas Fir is to be shared with the Alpine Fir camp. The one in Limber Pine is to be shared with White Fir and Balsam Fir camps. Leaders of the different camps should contact each other to make arrangements for sharing if needed.
21. This is your camp, however, we want it to be available for others to enjoy also. If these rules are followed then Camp Timberlane will be a recreational facility for you and your family to enjoy for many years to come. Have fun, but remember who you are.
